What are your top 3 tips for living in Shoreditch, London?
- Always carry an umbrella, no matter where you go.
- Never forget to check your oyster card, with no money in it you won’t be able to travel around.
- When it comes to finding a place to stay, it’s important to consider that perhaps a house/flat a bit further from the campus is worth the money, as well as you what you spend traveling every day, instead of renting an expensive place closer.
What is the best thing about being a fashion student?
The best thing about being a fashion student from my point of view is that nothing about what you do is wrong. Depending from the person looking at, it takes a different expression; it’s interpreted in a different way.
What do you do at the weekends?
It really depends on my mood at the moment, some weekends I simply spend a home chilling and watching Netflix, but most of times I go to museums and galleries, or go out with some friends around Soho and Shoreditch to have a real good time.
What is going to be the next biggest trend?
The next biggest trend in my opinion is the slim pants for menswear, which the tailoring is a little loose but fits the legs perfectly.
Who is your fashion idol?
I personally can’t stick to only one fashion icon to inspire me, but some of my fashion idols are Coco Chanel, Christian Dior and Kendal Jener.
What is your best advice to anyone who wants to study fashion at Istituto Marangoni in London?
If someone’s planning to start a fashion course at Marangoni, what I’d like to tell them is that no matter how hard it seems or how stressed you get, at the end you’ll get all the effort you put into the work back in a graceful and rewarding way.
